Whisker Walks Guidelines

  1. Please only bring dogs that are sociable and can interact positively with others.
  2. Ensure your dog is up-to-date on vaccinations and in good health to prevent the spread of diseases among other dogs and participants.
  3. You are responsible for your own dog.
  4. Please ensure your dog is leashed where required by law and is considered under control at all times.
  5. Please clean up after your dog. If you need assistance due to physical limitations, feel free to ask for help.
  6. Please refrain from touching other people’s dogs without permission. Some dogs may have specific training needs or be uncomfortable with strangers.
  7. Do not treat a dog that is not yours without permission from the owner. The dog may have an allergy or have particular training you are not aware of.
  8. Dress appropriately for the weather and consider the comfort of your dog.
  9. Consider carrying a basic first aid kit for minor injuries that may occur during the walk, both for yourself and your dog.
  10. Refrain from bringing items that may pose a hazard to other participants or dogs, such as glass containers or sharp objects.
  11. While walking, please yield to others and keep to the left, allowing ample space for everyone to pass safely.
  12. Be respectful of wildlife and the environment during the walk. Avoid disturbing natural habitats and dispose of waste responsibly.
  13. Please carry identification with emergency contact information in case of any unforeseen incidents during the walk.
  14. Respect private property
  15. This walk is open to anyone, please be accepting and inclusive of others.
  16. This walk is intended for leisure and socialisation, so please be mindful of varying walking paces and enjoy a relaxed stroll with your dogs and fellow participants.
  17. Above all, enjoy the walk and time spent with your dog and fellow community members. Let’s create a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
